Belmont Street Lofts

Lead Designer: John Holmes
Architect of Record: Holst Architecture

Belmont Street Lofts is a mixed-use residential building in southeast Portland’s Belmont neighborhood that brings contemporary loft living to a lively urban street. Designed by Holst Architecture and completed in 2004, the project includes 27 loft-style condominium homes above retail space and parking, all organized to fit well with the tight city block.

The architecture celebrates natural materials and urban presence, with a rain-screen façade of renewable wood and metal, large windows, and a structure of heavy timber that gives the building warmth and texture. Inside, open loft plans, radiant floor heating, and generous daylight help create homes that feel modern, comfortable, and connected to their vibrant neighborhood.
