Ziba Headquarters
Lead Designer: John HolmesArchitect of Record: Holst ArchitectureLocated in Portland, Oregon, Ziba World Headquarters is the Pearl District office for the internationally known design and innovation firm Ziba. Designed by Holst Architecture, the building is meant to reflect Ziba’s creative culture and support how the firm works, with lots of natural light, open collaborative spaces, “street-like” circulation, and places where designers can mix, brainstorm, and prototype. The headquarters includes work studios, project rooms, a research library, communal areas, and a large auditorium used for presentations and community events, all organized to encourage interaction and idea flow.
The façade features a dramatic picture-window expression that connects the building visually to the neighborhood, and the project was developed with sustainability in mind, earning LEED Gold certification with features like abundant daylighting, reclaimed wood, and thoughtful site planning.
